Jivamukti Yoga is a path to enlightenment through compassion for all beings. The Jivamukti method is grounded in the original meaning of the sanskrit word Asana as “seat, connection” – relationship to the Earth. Earth implies all of Life.
Created by Sharon Gannon and David Life, the Jivamukti School incorporates traditional Yoga practices into a modern lifestyle without losing sight of the ancient wisdom and the universal goal of Liberation. Each class serves as a bridge between the two worlds, including set Asana sequences, Pranayama exercises, the study of Mantras and Sutras, Kriyas, Meditation and Relaxation.
The founders are pioneers in teaching Yoga as spiritual activism, demonstrating that Yoga is a living tradition, a complete method for attaining lasting happiness.
At Jivamukti, we use art, music, dance, and poetry, to create an environment that inspires you to investigate the mysteries of Life, to break out of your small self and into the Divine Self.

FACE SCULPT

The Face Sculpt is a natural face-lift that uses deep tissue techniques to release the tension and connective tissues of the face, partnered with lymphatic drainage techniques to de-puff and eliminate any toxins. These techniques combined assist with headaches, jaw tension, blocked sinuses, reducing the appearance of fine lines, bringing fresh blood and oxygen to the skin which helps even out the complexion. The Face Sculpt includes a cleanse, massage to the chest, neck, face and scalp and a moisturiser. Resetting the face to appear more relaxed, lifted and vibrant.

LYMPH SCULPT

The Lymph Sculpt focuses on the lymphatic system, which acts as the body’s sewerage system, that cleanses the body of toxins, metabolic waste and excess fluid. When this system is not working properly, the tissues swell with stagnant fluid which becomes congested, appearing puffy or swollen. This treatment uses Brazilian style lymphatic drainage techniques and the use of cups to target draining the excess fluid, breaking up and reducing the appearance of cellulite and reshaping and sculpting the body. Resetting the body to feel lighter, slimmer and more relaxed.

Steeped in tradition, this ancient fire blessing ceremony is an auspicious way to close our retreat. Conducted by The Shala Bali’s Indian Yoga teacher Ankit, who was bestowed the sacred Vedic ritual by his grandfather, a priest of Rishikesh India.

WATER PURIFICATION CEREMONY AT TIRTA EMPUL TEMPLE

Only 30 minutes away by car from The Shala Bali, is the water temple Pura Tirta Empul. This temple compound , dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu God of water, consists of a bathing structure, and is famous for its holy spring water. We will take you there for a ritual purification.
