& THE ACTIVITIES

DSC00715.webp

GALLE FORT & UNAWATUNA

The following trip is included in the price.

Galle is not only the most beautiful coastal town in Sri Lanka but also a UNESCO heritage site. Here, life slows down as locals play cricket alongside the beach, travelers walk on the ancient fort walls, and street vendors sell fresh tropical fruit under the palm trees. You will discover a real melting pot of culture, with a unique fusion of European and Asian influences.

From walking around the ancient streets, learning about the history, visiting incredible handicraft shops and admiring the old-fashioned buildings, Galle Fort has so much to offer.

Galle Fort’s wall is where locals and tourists come together and enjoy the beautiful view of the city and the sea. Walking along the perimeter of the fort, gaining various perspectives of the site and town, to arrive then at Galle Fort Lighthouse, an icon of the town, bordered by palm trees and the deep blue ocean.

Unawatuna is one of the most stunning beaches to swim, snorkel and enjoy the ocean view from the Japanese Peace Pagoda and the sunset.

The impressive Japanese Peace Pagoda  is located in the forest on the hillside north of Unawatuna beach. Constructed in 2005 by Japanese monks as part of a scheme to build peace temples in conflict zones, the monument serves as a beacon of hope for people all over the world.

MIRISSA, SECRET BEACH & COCONUT TREE HILL

The following trip is included in the price.

A vision of tropical bliss, Mirissa Beach boasts powdery pale sand, while its azure water is framed by an arc of coconut palms. The bay curves gently around to the east and then it meets up with the roar of the Galle-Matara Rd. Close to the center of Mirissa bay is a sandbar that connects to Parrot Rock: a huge red-colored mound that towers over the water.

At the eastern part of the Bay sits Coconut Tree Hill with its iconic ocean view through a dome of palm trees. Finally, tucked around the corner from the main beach, you will find Secret Beach, a small secluded beach that feels like a remote island paradise.
