Murmur
Jivamukti Yoga Retreat to ignite voice, courage,
& the fire of imperfect Love.
November 11th - November 16th, 2025
with Rebeca Recatero
KURULU BAY, AHANGAMA, SRI LANKA
Just like everyone else, You — no more but never less — are worthy of loving and belonging.
Just like a murmur echoing, soft yet persistent, this retreat is a quiet uprising of voices, for Self and for those unheard.
Both a remembrance and a continuation. Our voices carry those of others.
A bold reclaiming of your own truth. A promise made aloud, from the heart.
To ignite voice, courage, and the fire of imperfect Love.
A trembling Yes.
To reclaim — not in noise, but in nuance.
We gather to remember the strength of our voices.
To murmur our truths back into the body, the mind, the heart.
To sing, to chant, to sound ourselves whole again.
For the words we never spoke,
For the stories held in our throats,
For those who were never heard.
Murmur is for the ones who love imperfectly,
But love anyway.
You are invited to retreat to an intimate place of warmth where life gathers. Where fire is kept alive, where meals are shared, where stories are told. A place to return to belonging, to community.
The beauty of Kurulu Bay evokes a notion of infinite and timeless dimension with its scented frangipani trees, the symphony of jungle sounds and the immensity of Koggala Lake ― somewhere between dreams & reality. Here, we harmonise with the wild beauty of Sri Lanka and welcome the wisdom of nature within all things.
Rebeca Recatero will be holding space for all integrated Jivamukti Yoga daily practices, nurtured through chanting and the study of mantras, allowing for contemplation and transformation of the relationship with both, our inner and outer worlds.
Let your voice be a heartfelt murmur that moves mountains.
Let it begin here.

Kurulu Bay
Kurulu Bay (Sinhalese for “bird island”) is a private sanctuary built around the existing nature. Overlooking Sri Lanka’s most scenic lakes, Koggala Lake, and surrounded by lush greenery, every element has been carefully considered to offer space, privacy and tranquility, with an emphasis on health & wellbeing. Garden suites and tree houses are tucked away on
a private jungle estate; each with its own character and architectural style. The Kurulu house, used as the open space for gathering and practicing facing the sunset, gives an incredible feeling of calmness. This is an invitation for us to truly appreciate the gift of being in such surrounding Nature.

Rebeca Recatero
Born in Madrid, growing up Rebeca heard of Yoga philosophy from her grandmother - a practitioner and teacher in the 80s - but it was only years later while living in Sydney, Australia that she first started studying yoga at the Jivamukti School.
A heartfelt sense of wanting to dive deep into the teachings of yoga arose in the clarity and stillness that followed her first practice. She has been studying regularly with her teachers since and she feels forever grateful to our transformative method.
Her teachings come now as a reflection of her dedicated daily practice and detailed observation of the natural world. Rebeca is devoted to protecting animal rights and teaching about Yoga philosophy is her humble contribution to awakening our heart’s capacity for compassion towards all beings.
Her aspiration is to keep sharing the teachings as far and as deep as possible.
